Native Excavating had the privilege of working for Mount Werner Water and Sanitation District on two jobsites during the summer of 2010.  The first project was a waterline replacement and booster station installation project.  This job required upsizing an existing waterline from six to eight inches along Apres Ski Way and Alpenglow road in Steamboat Springs.  A structure was erected along Alpenglow way to house a Booster Pump Station, giving the district significantly better control of pressure and flow in the case of a significant draw on the system.

The second project was also a waterline upsizing.  The line along Columbine Drive in Steamboat Springs was brought from eight inches to fourteen.  This project gave the district a significant increase in capacity, which was used to aid the new Booster Station.

Both projects took place along and within paved city streets, increasing the difficulty in dealing with traffic control, dry utilities, and maintaining constant communication with affected residents.
